The southeastern side of Sicily, which we visited during a day trip, not only that exits on other sea – Ionian, but is different in a culture way, which has left the most impact on this part of the island. It is the Greece culture, whose nearness inevitably contributed to expand its heritage in this part of the island. The mountainous region, with Etna volcano, whose peak is the highest in Europe, offers breathtaking views. We first visited the town of Savoca in which filmed cult movie Godfather with Al Pacino and Marlon Brando. Savoca is typically Italian village, like the ones on a postcard from the movies. The visit of Bar Vitelli, a symbol of Savoca and little church, was unforgettable. After Savoca, we went to the tourist resort of Taormina, which is literally sky high. I was thrilled to see the balconies filled with flowers and notion that fashionable tourists like to visit places that are in high altitude areas, such as this. Last in the series, was Etna – Sicilian volcano. An imposing sight burned ground, as it was created to be in sci-fi movie.

Ti i muž ste baš divan par.
