Nastavljamo putovanje po bivšoj Jugoslaviji i posećujemo biser Jadrana, prelepi grad na jugu Hrvatske – Dubrovnik. Ovaj velelepni srednjovekovni grad, obiluje znamenitostima i odiše pomorskim žarom.
We continue our journey through the former Yugoslavia, and we visit the pearl of the Adriatic, a beautiful city in southern Croatian – Dubrovnik. This magnificent medieval town, is full of interesting sites and maritime passion.
Stradun or main street, as it was called by the Venetians, its present appearance obtained after the great earthquake of 1667. Because of stone blocks polished to perfection, he is known as street salon.
Rector’s Palace, which contains a historical museum, equipped with stylish furniture of the aristocratic family from the 19th century and paintings from the 15th century onwards. This Gothic palace, with Renaissance and Baroque reconstruction, was the residence of the rector in the framework of his one-month mandate.
Small Onofrio fountain, designed by the Neapolitan builder Onofrio della Cava, by whom it was named. It was used only by Christians, and in addition to this there is a large fountain too. The fountain, which is set at Stradun 1438, in the Middle Ages was used to supply water to the market square.
Breathtaking view on the Dubrovnik-Neretva County (Croatia).
Nesuglasice na magistrali u Crnoj Gori. Momci očigledno ne mare za saobraćaj.
Disagreements on the highway in Montenegro. Guys obviously don’t care about traffic.
Ah taj lepi Orahovac. Boka Kotorska u punom sjaju sa naše terase. Odmor za dušu i telo, u impozantnom zalivu, okruženom divljim stenama i brdima. (Crna Gora)
Ah the beauty of Orahovac. Bay of Kotor in its full glory from our balcony. Relaxation for body and soul, in the imposing bay, surrounded by wild cliffs and hills. (Montenegro)
Perast, Crnogorski grad u kamenu, nestvarne lepote i netaknute arhitekture.
Perast, Montenegro city of stone, surreal beauty and pristine architecture. Romantic look was given to it in the 17th and 18th century, and its reflected in the numerous baroque buildings. It was famous for maritime school, which had a reputation throughout Europe, when city enjoyed its largest boom, that we are witnessing today.
(Crna Gora)
Bay of Kotor is hiding numerous beauty, and one of its gems is certainly the town of Kotor. The Venetian influence left a mark on the architecture of the city, and the bohemian charm and Mediterranean fragrances, included it as place of great cultural – historical tradition. Kotor exudes with melancholy, and I like that its not fancy so much, but posses existing traces of the time that works for him. (Montenegro)
The symbol of Kotor, Cathedral of Saint Tryphon from the 12th century, in the Romanesque style, is one of the oldest in this part of the Adriatic. It is a witness of turbulent historical development of the city, the impact that alternated through the ages.
